To bring mercy to the world

The appointment of prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a prophet had a clear purpose, which is highlighted in his own sayings. One of the main purposes of his appointment was to bring mercy to the world. This is evident in the following hadith:
"the merciful ones are shown mercy by the all-merciful. Show mercy to those on earth, and he who is in heaven will show mercy to you. " (sahih bukhari, book 73, hadith 56)
This hadith emphasizes the importance of showing mercy towards others, and how this can lead to receiving mercy from Allah. The prophet (Pbuh) was the embodiment of mercy, and his actions and teachings reflected this. He taught his followers to be merciful towards all living beings, including animals, and to show kindness towards their fellow human beings, regardless of their race, religion, or social status.

In the holy Quran, Allah describes the prophet (PBUH) as a mercy to all the worlds:

"And we have not sent you, [o muhammad], except as a mercy to the worlds." (Quran 21:107)

This verse highlights the universality of the prophet's (PBUH) message, and how his teachings are meant for all of humanity, not just for a specific group of people. The prophet (PBUH) brought the message of mercy to a world that was plagued by ignorance, injustice, and oppression. His message of love, compassion, and forgiveness transformed the hearts and minds of people and brought about a positive change in society.

To perfect the virtues of good character and moral excellence.

To call people to worship Allah alone and to reject idolatry

Another primary purpose of the appointment of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a Prophet was to call people to worship Allah alone and to reject idolatry. This is evident in his own sayings, such as the following Hadith:
"I have been sent before the Hour with the sword, so that Allah may be worshipped alone without any partner." (Bukhari, Book 61, Hadith 131)
This Hadith emphasizes the importance of monotheism in Islam and the rejection of idolatry. The Prophet (PBUH) was sent to guide people toward the worship of the one true God, Allah, and to reject the worship of false gods and idols.

In the Holy Quran, Allah emphasizes the importance of monotheism and the rejection of idolatry:

"Indeed, We have sent a messenger to every nation, "Worship Allah and avoid Taghut ." (Quran 16:36)

This verse highlights the universality of the message of Islam and the importance of rejecting idolatry.
